Laventa

by | feb 19, 2024 | ZEB

A story from ZEB’s early days.

At the time, Wim (Laventa) applied for a position at our company.

In his application letter, he referenced the positive, motivating messages about our company culture that he had read on the ZEB website.

What Wim didn’t know was that our webmaster Luk had written and posted these messages himself, without anyone asking him to do so. He did this to emphasize the positive company culture. On September 12, 1996, Luk sent me a funny email about this.

Here’s an excerpt from Wim’s application letter:
*”Because I cannot shake off the impression that your company is inspired by a ‘family’ or ’team’ spirit, and I certainly haven’t missed your motivating comments on the feedback page regarding the staff, is…”*

And Luk’s response to this:
“And here’s the best joke: I posted those comments there myself ‘in the name of the boss’… 🙂
Well, you’re making a good impression on people… 🙂”

Kind regards,
Luk

Met vriendelijke groeten,

Luk
