Our honeymoon to Kerala

Dear friends from Kerala,

A brief message to thank everyone for our fantastic honeymoon in Kerala, India.

First and foremost, of course, Sachin and Sruthi who inspired us to choose this trip. We cannot thank them enough for this. They organized it so well and the result was accordingly, incredible!

We also want to thank Geetha and Bhadhra. Their kindness, dedication and time, words fall short. They took care of us like a mother hen caring for her chicks.

Furthermore was really nice to see Francis and Annett again, who welcomed us with their family into their home.

Sometimes it felt a bit as if we were traveling with three people, because our friends Sachin (and Sruthi) were always like guardian angels working somewhere in the background to ensure that everything would be perfect.

We certainly also will not forget Chinda maama, who wonderfully surprised us with a Rubik trick.

It was very nice to notice how hospitable and helpful everyone was, everywhere and all the time.

The various drivers, the police officer who made us stop and immediately wanted a photo and proudly showed his daughter, the schoolchildren in the fort with their teachers who wanted to be in the photo, it was all very heartwarming.

And Justeena, whom we met on the plane only to run into her again at Lulu Mall. How coincidental can it be!

And did we mention Geetha and Bhadhra already?

Honestly, Miranda was apprehensive about being away from home for 3 weeks, but these 3 weeks flew by.

25 – 26 december 2024 onderweg naar Kerala

Alle treinen hadden vertraging maar we hadden gelukkig genoeg reserve ingepland.

Ook de vluchten hadden vertraging, zodat we onze aansluitende vlucht naar Doha misten. Qatar Airways had reeds een nieuwe vluchten geboekt via Abudhabi naar Kochi, die trouwens ook te laat waren. Met als gevolg dat we niet in namiddag van 26/12 maar in de ochtend van 27/12 arriveerden in Kochi, waar we geweldig werden opgevangen.

Als kers op de taart had de chauffeur nog oude boekingsinformatie en pas het 3de hotel was het goeie hotel.
